I spent over 15 years working in banking, including my career at Wells Fargo. And while I was working my nine-to-five, I was also building my own childcare business. I was using my paycheck, my savings, and whatever resources I could leverage to keep that business going.
So when I tell you I understand what it's like to need funding for your business, I'm speaking from experience. My first grant was $500. And some people might look at that and say, "Coach K, that's not a lot of money." But that $500 showed me something. There were opportunities out there I hadn't been taught how to pursue.
So I kept learning. I kept researching. And I kept applying. Over time, I secured $146,000 in grant funding for my business. Since then, I've helped educate and coach more than 100,000 entrepreneurs about business funding and building a stronger foundation.
And this is why I teach this information. I don't want you making the same mistakes I made. I want you to understand that grants aren't a get-rich-quick avenue. There's research involved. There's preparation involved. And you've got to be willing to do the work. But when you understand the process, you can approach opportunities differently.
That's what I want to help you do during the Grant Mastery Challenge.
